I will be buying a new system soon. I plan to get one with a Blue Ray burner.

1.Will it help with editing if I buy a separate hard drive so that I run Vegas9 Platinum Pro Pack from this drive so I am not editing/saving from the same drive I boot up with (C/)? Wouldn't this keep the video data and the virtual memory from fighting for hard drive resources?

I am thinking of getting an Intel, i7 processor running at least 3 ghz and 4 gigs of memory on a Windows 7 OS. I read the FAQ and this set up seems to be popular but are there any other chips or set ups that you can recommend?

Thank you.

Please do a search before posting a question as many subjects, including these, have already been covered. The Stickies are a good source of info. You should read through this one:

read the FAQ, as well. Welcome to the forum.:hv20-smilie77:
