As with everything else, editing, building, writing, etc, etc, the first 90% take 10% of the time, the next 7.5% take the remaining 90% of the time. The left-over 2.5% are IMPOSSIBLE! :)

... do "helpful post" thumbs-up/thumbs-down ratings have any effect on the poster's "reputation" score? I have no idea if such a thing is possible, but it would make logical sense if a poster gained a "greenie point" every time someone else gave their post a thumbs-up and lost one for every thumbs-down, wouldn't it?

This truly anounces the end of the world as we know it.
And moreover: I can not get in neither.
I've noticed, that the direct link in the black and white square does not work at all anymore and the link under Quick Links still does, but it does not bring you in anymore.
Furthermore I have noticed, that the row of + marked members has grown and it also shows Seo in ther, who said he can not get in anymore.

Well, technically, you were able to get in BEFORE I deleted the other chat room. So we really don't know EXACTLY what went wrong before.

Seo should try and re-log in and see if it works now...

It did work...for a while. Yesterday I was able to have a quick conversation with Seo. I was getting used to the slow deliverance of messages. (In some cases it took two seconds to send a message.) But today it's gone south again, after a while messages did not appear at all. I decided to leave the chat and sign back in. Signing in took hours (got a chance to have a close look on the background). And some minutes later I was finally back in the chat and noticed I got a plus ( + ) in front of my name. It disappeared a minute or two later and things seemed to get up to speed again (starting with the announcement of the departure of the other user in the chat :D). Half an hour later another conversation was going on. But after about ten minutes the chat slowed down again. Messages appeared half a minute, minute later.
My guess, there are not enough resources left to use the chat (memory, cpu, ..). Personally I check out other chat engines. (Preferably one which uses IRC to as the underlying mechanism and have the chat in the browser as a fancy GUI. That way some users might decide to use IRC instead of their browser. With the added bonus of being able to turn of the sound from the chatbox, instead of having to mute all sound from the computer.)

Makes sense. Lately the chat was unusable. The situation as I described above (which we both experienced) occurred over and over again. Lagging, lagging and finally an entire freeze of the chatbox.

Although: I had good intentions in replacing it IMMEDIATELY with another version, that proved more time consuming than expected, so it will be a few days before this feature will be re-instated...

Yes, it's been working for quite a while now. Do you have a picture of the error you're getting?
