I have what I hope is a simple question:

I have HV20 footage that is already converted to 24p (I downloaded neo hd trial to experiment). It definitely looks smooth.
I open that file in Vegas but when I want to export it, I just cannot make it look right again - it always looks blurred... I tried so many render settings.
What is the correct sequence of steps if I am to start with 24p footage and produce a 24p dvd?

Thanks in advance! By the way, I really like this forum and it has been the main reason I got the HV20 :)

What exactly looks blurred? The exported mpeg2 file, or the final DVD? The problem might be that Sony Vegas Architect (or MainConcept's mpeg2 encoder) might not "understand" progressive or 24p footage and only work well with SD 60i interlaced one.

Thanks for the reply.
No worries. I figured it out.
Here is what I needed to do (I don't know, this info might help someone):

1. Have the HDV 1080-24p(1440x1080; 23.976) template for File->Properties
2. Render as HDV 1080-24p intermidiate and save as avi

I was trying to render to other formats and now playback is smooth, even though the file is huge.
