Shouldn't be a big deal, right?

I checked out Future Shop and Best Buy - both said they sold it, but it was Vegas 6 - the old version. I then tried the Sony Store, and they didn't have it either, ditto all their stores across Canada.

Ok, off to Amazon.com then. Set up the order and 'sorry, can't ship this item to Canada.' Ok, Amazon.ca, nope - not listed.

Phoned Sony.com "Sorry, we can't ship to Canada."

Phoned Sony.ca "Sorry, we don't have access to that product." "Guys, I have cash, you have a product. What kind of bizarro system do you have that prevents you from selling products to a consumer?" "Yeah, we should do something about that..."

Anyway, the end of this long story is that if you want the most recent version of Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum, you must go to a site like http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/products/vegasfamily.asp and order it there. From what I've read, I'm sure it will be worth it.

Yes, go to the Sony Creative Website. From there you can download trial versions, and purchase licence keys.

I ship to Canada, and I've got the software on the site for $109.99.

Purchased mine through Sony back in mid July for US$149.50 delivered. I had my hard copy within days.

Not sure what the price is today, but if Ten Ounce can snail mail it to you (USPS instead of UPS) it would cost you no more than US$120-$125, at most...

Vistek lists it in Toronto. C$129 - "Special Order" ...
Henry's lists version 6 - Bi-Lingual.
Go with Alpha if the shipping is OK?

Shipping should be super low. I can stick this in a flat rate box via USPS Express Mail and ship it to Canada for around $23.
