Here's some random test footage. I'm still testing the adapter but here's some stuff slapped together with music so it doesn't get too boring. The DOF isn't that dramatic because I'm using a Carl Zeiss 20mm in most of the stuff but I'm about to test a Carl Zeiss 50mm soon. As I feel comfort with the camera setup and results then I'll shoot something more substantial.

That looked amazing! I wonder, did you use any automatic settings filming indoors? I can hardly see any gain!

Great stuff, I love these tests people are outputting these days, they make me want to have an 35mil adapter even faster!

Yeah, for test footage it looks really good. Beautiful lens.

Also:

- what kind of mount are you using for the Zeiss lenses? Are they Nikon mounts?

- did you build this from Daniel's parts (www.jetsetmodels.info) or is it your own design?

- I assume that you were stopped down, at least for some of it (the shift in exposure from the clouds to the face looks like 3 or 4 stops) - have you seen a big difference in the vignetting (lower left corner) from wide open?

- I noticed that the left side of the image was vibrating a bit in some of the shots: is the image really off-center on the ground glass? did you just zoom in or did you fix some of it in post?

Really interested, as I'm about to receive the parts for my DOF adapter any day now :hv20-smilie45:

SMS: Can you post a picture of your HV20 showing the adapter configuration?

Thanks.

Like Wolferic, I too would be interested to hear what DIY equipment/ tutorials you used - nice footage!
