HF S10 scene

During recording with HF S10, when I press start/stop button it creates new scene file instead of pausing, like tape camcorders do. Is this normal for AVCHD and can it be turned off.
I read manual and it clearly said this button is intended for pausing during recording, but it only stops recording and creates new scene file. If I pause every 20 secnds for different angles I got so many scene files. Yes I know I can merge those scenes in Premiere, but when I don't have PC on my trips, it would be necessary to shoot movie in one file.
Pls any advice.

No, there is no way to put on pause. Only new file. And i say its good. If you don't have PC, play it via camera.

Yep thanks, I also figure it out last 2 days I searched few forums. Never mind, for editing those scenes, maybe this will be advantage.
Which program you found best for merging those files?

I tried tsMuxeR, it's free and good, but no option for join all files in one action.
