Out of Sync Audio?

Is it unusual for FCE to capture clips with audio out of sync? It's in sync on the camera.

Should I recapture? OR is there a quick solution to syncing everything back up?

I recaptured and it's fine now. That was weird.

OK. I take that back. It only appeared to be in sync because I started the capture later in the part. Apparently it becomes increasingly out-of-sync for the duration of a particularly long clip... around 30 minutes. It gets noticeably out of sync around the 7 or 8 minute mark.

Am I importing with the wrong settings? I've tried importing three times. I just hit file/capture and it does it on its own. Haven't seen any settings.

As long as you imported using the 1080/60i settings, then you are hitting a bug on either FCP's capturing, or simply its playback. Try playing the file with quicktime or something, and move directly to the 8th minute and see if it is still out of sync.

I believe you have to change your audio settings to record using 16 bit instead of 14 bit. This should correct the sync issue.
