I've searched all over the internet, and this forum and can find no examples of anybody using this wide-angle lens with this camera. Is there any reason that this combination would not work?

I fully intended to buy a cheapo wide angle lens on ebay or amazon, but I did some research and I think I want to go with something a bit nicer. From everything I've read, the 6600 has minimal barrel distortion, and front-end threads (unlike the Canon offerings) at the expense of some softness in the edges. These are the reasons I chose this lens, but I'm open to suggestion if there is a more appropriate choice.
