Hello,

I am a newbie and I have been researching the matter of video A LOT the last two months and I am really in the need of an HD camcorder to start my journey in video making.
So after extensive research I have narrowed down to 3 options yet to come.
1)Canon HF S10
2)Panasonic HDC HS300
2)Samsung HMX-H100 series (as I named the thread because i found no other topic on them)

I am really confused because I really like the huge sensor of the Canon but I also really like the viewfinder and the manual ring of the Panasonic.
But after all that I also found the Samsung which has a 37 mm wide lens, which is really different from the 43 of the other two. Does that make it significantly wider getting closer to the wide angle of a professional camera?
Please share uor thoughts about comparison of the three.
I am really interested in the best quality of the image produced, but also like to have the ring and viewfinder.
help me please
thank you

Nobody is interested in the 37mm lens?

I think it's the 1/4.5" sensor that no one is hyped about. I was initially hyped about the H10# series, but then they published the sensor specs. I suppose that if they come out super cheap and have incredible battery life, I'll think about it. But the original hype of putting a better lens on the HMX20C went south when the sensor ended up spec-ing about 1/3rd the size. Compared to other cams in the same league, it doesn't measure up, if only in specs. Or I could be wrong.

well i was hopong since their huge sensor did not produce amazing results they would produce better quality sensor, even if they were smaller...
