I have been lurking on this forum for a few months now while waiting for the right time to buy my HV20, and I finally purchased one on 8/13 from Circuit City. After buying the camcorder, I changed my mind about spending the money. Unfortunately, I have passed my 14 day return window, so now I need to sell it. I literally used it for 3 minutes to see how well it looked on my tv, and then it went back into the box.

I will put it on ebay if no one wants it from here, but I figure I might be able to help someone save a few dollars. I will be happy to send additional pictures to anyone that is interested, so please pm or email me though this account.

$830 shipped

Thanks!

Hi Scott,
I'm very interested in your camera. Do you have all the proper receipts and stuff for the warranty? Also, is everything that came with it all included and working? Any other problems/issues you know about? Since it's so new, I'm guessing probably none but I have to ask :<)
How would we work out payment? Email me at bin91_at_ureach_dot_com. Thx!

You should still be able to return it to Circuit City since it is a box store. I bought an HV10 in December and returned it 2 months later when I heard the HV20 was coming out. I would just go in and say something along the lines of there is another model coming out and you want to return it. They didn't make a big deal at all for me returning it.

yea, 2 weeks is nothing. paying the restocking fee should be fine.

I will certainly try taking it back to Circuit City if I cannot sell it on here. I will actually come out a little bit better $$ wise if I sell it on here versus returning it and getting smacked with the 15% fee. In addition, I would honestly rather help someone else get a deal on here. If I return it, CC will mark it back up as an Open Box, and they will make out better on the deal.

Thanks!

I never even had to pay the restocking fee. You can get around that.

I am sorry everyone, but I followed this advice and returned it to Circuit City today without penalty. Thanks for suggesting I give this a try. It certainly saved me some cash, and now I can go buy that Canon 40D that I have been waiting for.

Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in buying it.
