XHA1 Cracked LCD Screen Replacement Cost?

Dropped my XHA1 the other day right on top of my flipped out LCD screen. The screen ended up bending and cracking and now only shows a cracked white image. :hv20-smilie119:

Would anybody know the cost of an LCD replacement with Canon's repair service?

I called them but the person I talked to said they don't do estimates. I'd have to wait until they receive it to know how much the repair would cost.

Anybody with the same experience? I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me the cost of an LCD replacement in advanced.

Canon has a service center is Irvine, not too far from you. I took my HV30 there when it got wet, the lady at the counter gave me price right away (they couldn't tell me over the phone). I would feel better dropping it off in person anyway, even if they can't give you a price immediately.

Either way, Canon's customer service is miles ahead of Panasonic's. I thought I had a problem with the HMC150 and called Panny tech support twice over the last 4 days. They don't let you talk to tech support when you call, you can only leave your number and wait for them to call you.

Well, its been 4 days.....Glad I don't actually have a problem.

Sorry to rant on your thread. Its a fantastic camera, I couldn't be happier but Panny's customer service has just supplanted Sony's at the bottom of the barrel. A

I know this was a few years ago, but what did it cost to replace the LCD Display? I need to do it now. Thanks!
