This was shot with the Nikon D90. The song is called Give Me Change, and the band is Edroy. I had been looking around for a band to do a video for and I didn't find any that I was interested in doing a video for, besides Danny Leeds. I'm a musician/ composer before anything else (although I stopped being in bands 2 years ago) and I decided to sort of write a song that represented what is in the back of my mind as far as the type of band I would want to do a video for. So, I wrote this song, and got Amanda to do the vocals. I wrote the lyrics. She doesn't even know what the song is about, haha! Anyhow, this isn't my style of music as for how I usually play and write. I'm really more interested in Avant Garde' stuff.
But, back to the video. I was happy to be able to recruit my long time friend Ryan Melanson to play the guitar in the video, Amanda did the vocals (like I said) Liran Yaniv did the bass, and I am on the drums. In reality, I recorded all parts , minus the vocals. We shot all of the video in a house, and used some green screen (which I HATE doing). I was the set designer, make up guy, and costume designer-except for Ryan, and the video took about 8 hours to shoot. It however took about 30 hours to edit. I used Final Cut Pro , and by the way I used Garage Band to record the music on.
We also used 10 lights varying in wattage, from 600 to 100 watts, and some dimmers. We used a dolly, a manfrotto tripod, a boom, a diy steadycam, and I think that about covers the basics of what we did.
I think it came out basically how I envisioned it, besides a few bits of chaos that jumped into the project that I decided to just go with, which I tend to do for better or worse, I'm not sure yet.
