i have HV10, using it i burned dvd using imovie and idvd and video didnt look good on my new full HDTV ,even using blu-ray (ps3) and samsung full HD player. but looks so nice on stander tv.
from reading here i found out that i cant get HD movie using the workflow i am using.
also my HV10 doesnt have HDMI output , so i couldnt try its IQ on my HDTV. however i saw the HG10 the new canon HD camcorder has AVCHD format which plays on blu-ray and HD dvd players and gives HD image quality on HDTV, some reviews on cnet tried that on AVCHD sony camcorders and the seem happy with it and they used normal dvd burners too .and also it has HDMI output so i can connect it directly to my HDTV if i want it without editing.
the problem is according to "camcorderinfo" the image quality AVCHD on HG10 isnt as good or as sharp as HV20 but its better than most AVCHD camcorders. this is why i am think if i get the HV20, how can i output my edited movie to my HDTV with the best quality. ofcourse non edited one should look nice using HDMI directly to my HDTV i guess.

in other words:
-why not AVCHD if i can get true HD on HDTV with blu-ray player?
("Camcorderinfo" gave its video performance 9.75)

-IF i pick HV20 for the better performance (10.75 i am very picky on the video performance especially)
how can i get true HD after editing on my HDTV?

other info (i am good at FCP if its needed, blu-ray movies looks so nice on my ps3 and HDTV so nothing wrong with them)
thanks for your help in advance
