I was trying to obtain HV20 Pal version for more than a week or so. .... yesterday I saw a price drop at B&H from $1.400 to $1.250 so I ordered one. I't good price :hv20-smilie77:, now I'm waiting for delivery .. :hv20-smilie09:

I live in the UK, and converting $ to £ at a rate of 2:1, I can tell you that that is a good price!

What about warranty issues? Many places in the UK are offering it with 2 yrs for £690ish (subject to stock, of course!) or 3rs for a bit more. Do Canon honour cameras bought elsewhere?
