Hi there!

I'm new here. Just bought myself a HV20, as a succesor to my Sony VX2000. Sure gets a load from my shoulder :hv20-smilie03:
I already owned a Raynox HD7000 Pro WA and I would like to add a lens hood on it. I've seen on this Forum, that some users have succeeded in getting hold of a hood for a HD6600. So I followed the links to the sites where these hoods were sold. But unfortunately, they do not carry "my size". The OD of fle HD7000 is slightly over 85mm. Can anyone give me a hint? I am not afraid to rework one to fit, if I could find one that is close enough.

Hunt around the forum., I've seen at least one nice solution with a French Flag etc.

Seen it, but it does not match with my feelings on "neatness". I prefer a rubber hood, that meets the OD of the WA.

Don't bother, I made myself one . . .
Bought myself a 80mm PVC Reducer at a hardware store, cut off the small end and cut through one wall.
Now I can expand the piece and slip it over the outside of the WA. It fits with a reliable pretension, so it won't fall of.
I only have to wait for a Raynox RA5843 adaptor ring to arrive and I will have my contraption complete. It consits of:
1) Canon HV20 (sic),
2) Raynox WA HD7000 Pro,
3) Rode SVM Stereo X/Y Condensor Microphone,
all mounted on a DIY FigRig, currently named after myself, namely the "JoRig":hv20-smilie03:.
In case someone is interested in building his own Rig as well, here is a link, that shows me, with the Rig and a complete FAQ on "how to", including the drawings.
Sorry it is in Dutch and the drawing units are not in inches:hv20-smilie32:, but drawings are self explaining.

In due time I will upload some pictures of the complete contraption.
