Can you change the lens on an HV20, such as putting on a Macro or Telephoto?

You can't change the lens, but you can screw on filters/lenses with a 43mm thread. Many here use wide angle lenses, and many of us use 35mm adapters, too.

Hi Greenvette, this consumer cam as most consumer cams , has a fixed lens. It does allow for lenses to be added to the 43mm threaded front. I have purchased both telephoto and wide angle cannon lenses and am pleased at their performance. In addition to adding the lenses mentioned, some have opted for a more professional and more expensive approach by using a 35mm adapter. This does allow for just about any lens to be used on the hv20. Do a search for 35mm adapters and it opens up a new world to consumer camera use. Hope this helps.

"Many here use wide angle lenses...."
Any recommendations for a 43mm thread Wide Angle adapter available in the UK? I see Canon's wd-h43 listed but seemingly impossible to track down?
Is it a good lens?

I have used a 58-43 step down to use my 58 mm wide and telephoto adapters with success. You don't need to limit yourself to 43mm size.

Its actually a 43-58mm step up. I use a 52mm WA with a step up ring.
