I'm a long time user of vms for editing my home movies but have never really spent much time playing with vms' color correction tools. Since I got my hv20, browsed this forum and seen footage using magic bullet. I was wondering if anyone had any tips or knew of where I could find some tips on using the various tools to recreate these types of effect using vegas or vms.

I wrote a color grading tutorial for Vegas just the other day:

Check out the VASST site.

There's a guy there called Glen Chann who has an excellent tut on CC with Vegas.

.... if you can't find it, PM me tomorrow.

Hi Mike

I'd be very interested in trying some of your dynamic filters for Vegas.

The link here doesn't work. I did find your webpage with filters for upload
http://www.mikecrash.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=6

but the links from that page don't work either.

If your willing I'd love to give these a try. Thanks

Ah OK, I got the downloads to work via another link from the download index.

Cool, will give them a go.

Thanks.:hv20-smilie01:

Sorry Numbox.:hv20-smilie02:

your tipoff was excellent, thanks. The autolevel plugin works very nicely, especially with soft colour correction. Saved me a lot of time touching up some old (1965-1983) family 8mm film converted to digital.
