Hi I am a complete novice to the HV20 having only had it for a couple of weeks.
Firstly I'm very surprised at the lack of video editing software and instructions on the subject in the canon manual. I am trying to edit my holiday video in England using MS Vista movie maker, I have transferred the film using the firewire connection and then import the file into the movie make project.. I have chopped out the bits which are of no use (mainly shots of my shoes etc). Now I would like to save it back onto the computer using the optimal settings. Its starts to save, but seem to stick at 3% and the time just goes up and up, sometime over 800 mins. I believe my laptop is powerful enough a Dell M170 duel core with 2 GB ram and a large enough hard drive, have also tried the program Ulead video studio 11 (free 30 day trial) this also brings problems. My family keep asking about the holiday and they all want to see the film, can anyone help?
