View Full Version : Any FCP users here that can help?
If I capture in Apple intermediate, when I import the clip into a sequence the render bar turns Light green, I am sure my Sequence settings are right I checked over and over, So I am wondering if maybe this is normal? does anyone here know?

If you are importing from your camera via FireWire into a project set as Apple Intermediate Codec, then yes this is normal because you are trans-coding from HDV to Apple Intermediate. If you set up your project using the HDV 1080i60 FireWire Basic easy setup, then you won't get the green line because the project would match the native HDV footage.
However, if you are shooting HDV 24p with the HV20 and you have done a reverse telecine to remove the 3:2 pulldown producing 1080 24p footage, then this is a different story. If you ARE shooting this way and want to take advantage of 24p, then use JES_Deinterlacer to do a reverse telecine on your imported clips and bring them into a project with the HDV 1080 24p easy setup. JES_Deinterlacer is discussed in other threads with a link to download it.
Hope that helps.
