What are the downsides of the academic version versus the full blown retail version - there seems to be about a $300 difference on ebay... Thanks,

The difference usually is that you will be able to get updates for the academic
version but not upgrade from it. So if a new version comes out, you won't be able to upgrade to it. There may be more reasons but that one I know.

Very... Express might get another look, or just stay with iMovie for a while more, 'till I hit a royal...
