Here is a commercial I am working on for a web company. It will be distributed on the web as well. This is the first cut, which the client is already happy with, so if any of you want to give any feedback or suggestions, it will only help to improve it.
This first cut is only cut up and edited with music and text. No color correction has been added yet.
Let me know what you think.

Nice! Did you use a 35mm adapter, or filters, or anything else?

Thank you! Yeah I used my 35mm adapter...no post filters or colors yet.

tknslee, nice job. What you have so far is very good...the music keeps it fast paced (nice choice). If the company has a logo or something you can maybe try to squeeze it in there somewhere. Are you planning on having a voiceover or just keeping it as is? Either way it works.
Edit: It actually looks like a television commercial...but then it would be too long.

I brought your footage into Vegas and played around with colour correction and grading (as I am teaching myself) and no matter what I did to your footage, it just looks great!
Can I ask what adapter and lense and other gear you used? - I hope to film my first doco in Sydney with the hv20 in a couple of months, I feel a bit naked without all the goodies attached to this baby :-)
Thanks.

Nice work!
Is there a reason why we are getting updates on your .mov files but no info on the gear you used? :-)

I was just going to wait until I had some photos to post. But until then:
1. HV20 cam of course
2. DIY 35mm Adapter
3. Home made adapter holder (can't really call it a rod system)
4. Magic Bullet color effects

Thanks. - Sorry for being impatient!
MB is a great product and I'm no expert but you can get better results using curves, levels and a set of colour wheels. I'm slowly teaching myself to grade and one spend more time trying to tweak in MB than correcting and grading with the video editing software's inherent tools.
Your raw footage still looks nicer btw, but I like the second cut.

tkmslee - very nice job. I like the second version better (quicker cuts?) though 1) vingetting in upper right (and to a less extent left) corner more visible 2) not a fan of the soft filter effect. Also - those scupltural works may be copyrighted by their authors.

I like it - I hope you didnīt invest too much time for small pay. ^^
The text is sometimes hard to read on the light background. Have you ever tried to put a very light drop shadow behind it or a black text layer inbetween?
