Hi again -

I have downloaded the trialversion of Vegas Platinum 8.0 and I am trying it out. There is (at least) one thing I can't figure out.

I have a movie clip with sound and I'm adding a music track. At a given point in the movie clip I wish to turn the volume down on the original sound and up on the music... But I can't! I can only fade the sound in the beginning and end of the tracks...

Pinnacle had the option of volume-editing directly in the clip (like a graph) - does this make any sense? :hv20-smilie51:

Any ideas?

Is this what you mean?

I did this on Vegas 7.0e. Click on your soundtrack, Insert, Audio Envelope, a line appears on the soundtrack timeline, double-click on where you want the sound to begin fading & where you want it to resume, then double-click on the center of those two points, drag the centerpoint down to the volume level you desire.
Do the same for the musictrack except drag up to the level you want.

YES! I did not think "envelope" at all... but of course! I'll try this as soon as I get home. THANK YOU so much! :hv20-smilie77:
