I recently acquired an Panasonic DVX100b, and a Canon HV20. I use Adobe Premiere CS3 to edit.
I was able to successfully use the 24p pulldown script program that was posted in the 24p process forumn to convert the .M2T files from the HV20 when recording in HDV 24p mode to a lossless AVI pulled down using Lagarith's lossless codec. My system (a reg P4 2.44 ghz pc 1 gig ram) can't play back the files with any reasonable speed (only displays a few frames per 2 or 3 seconds). I guess my PC is not up to par when it comes to HD editing.
I need to use the footage on the same timeline as 24p Advance footage from my Panasonic DVX100b. What would be the best way to have the software work and be jitter free. Tried using Virtualdub to convert the footage to 720X480 with the MainConcept DV codec for the video and it plays fine on my pc, but when I bring it into Adobe Premiere CS3 it stll freezes on some frames every coulple of seconds.
Any ideas of the best workflow for my situation editing natively in Reg DV 24p?
Thanks,
DJ Elvis
