I really love the white balance presets on the HV20. The sunset mode works beautifully as well as the tungsten and others. I find myself getting a look I like more from them a lot of the times than actually white balancing. I know all can be corrected easily in post, so white balancing pre-post isn't as crucial as it use to be though. What do you think of the presets?

What exactly is Tungsten? i mean, what's it best used for?

It's a type of light. I find this setting works many places indoors where tungsten is located.

1700 K: Match flame
1850 K: Candle
2800 K: Tungsten lamp (incandescent lightbulb)
3350 K: Studio "CP" light
3400 K: Studio lamps, photofloods, etc...
4100 K: Moonlight
5000 K: Daylight
5500 K: Average daylight, electronic flash (can vary between manufacturers)
5770 K: Effective sun temperature
6420 K: Xenon arc lamp
6500 K: Daylight°
9300 K: TV screen (analog)
