Hello, All...

When tilting my HV20 in playback mode or off, I hear a clicking noise. This does not happen when recording though. It sounds like something is loose within the camera and is wobbling back and forth.

The camera operates great, so nothing is wrong performance-wise, but the the clicking sound is a bit unnerving. Has anyone experienced this or know what it may be?

Perfectly normal.
Many cams have this. And it DID it from day one, you just didn't notice it.
Power it on, and the noise goes away.

I believe its the OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) thingy. Mine does it too. No troubles here.

I spoke with Canon on the phone about this. The support person tried a few of their cameras and they all did it. She thought it might be the lens cover. My guess was the OIS.

I also went to a local electronics store and tried theirs by tilting it back and forth while listening closely (to isolate the sound from that of the anti-theft cable). If nothing else, I discovered a new way to get the attention of a salesperson.
