Slow Motion and Fast Frame shooting

Somebody knows if theres an option to record in Smooth Slow Record like sony does (240fps) or frame by frame (like a day from dawn till dusk)? or any other suggestions...

There is no slomo like Sony offers in the HC3 - the frame rate is always fixed at 60i/24p (50i/25p in PAL). You can only do "calculated" slomos with interpolated frames later in programs like AFX, ReTimer, MotionPerfect and so on.
For the other kind of footage I´d just use a digicam connected to a laptop. They should offer a better image quality for this kind of task.
