Hi guys
Just got a friend over in the states and im getting him to buy me a US version of the hv20. Im from australia, and down under our system is PAL, unlike your NTSC electronics. Im just wondering if any of you know the differences between the PAL and NTSC versions, and what problems do i face with an NTSC version in a PAL region like converting to and all that stuff, are all hv20s universal? thing is this is a great opputunity for me to buy one of these babies as in australia they cost around $1800 (USD) and in united states theyre as low as $800, so as you can see im making a huge saving.

Anyhow any help would be much appreciated on this,

Cheers Mates! :hv20-smilie24:

In NTSC the output is 60 fields, PAL is 50 fields. Progressive mode is 24 frames (packed in a 60i stream that has to be inverse-telecined) in NTSC, PAL is 25 frames.

99% of modern PAL TVs can work with NTSC SD input, when you want to connect them for a preview. I donīt know about HD, I think they should be compatible, too.
