Hello,
i´m living in Germany where we have about the lowest prices in europe for HV20 (about 930€).
I tried to find a shop that offers extended warranty, but there doesn´t seem to be one doing it, except "Saturn" which is very shitty huge electronic chain, but with the cam it would total for about 1300€.

I know from ebay, that for North-America there exists some kind of company specialised on providing extended warranty on almost anything.

Is there something international or a similar thing in Europe?

The Canon may give excellent PQ, but the build quality is mediocre and somewhere they have to get that price low.
what do you think about extended warranty and what you think is reasonable price for it? for me 1000€ is a lot of money, so it would be really shit if it breaks after 13 months...

Hi ib84

I just got my HV20 from http://www.askdirect.co.uk/uview?call=ask.productSearch&id=9500&topcatid=10 this is in the UK, I got a three year extended warranty and the first year is accidental damage also, it cost about £50 extra, I don't know if they ship to Germany.

All the best

Rico

That would be the Mack Warrantee. I've heard good and bad things about that though.
