Fireworks - best settings

I just purchased the HV20 ... newbie here ... and so far I am really impressed. I read on another forum that someone mentioned typically in movies, people film in the day and then use software to create a night effect. That sounds really cool and I would love to learn how to do that (if anyone knows a tutorial on such an effect I'd appreciate it); however, I am looking to take footage of an actual night time setting.

I'm looking to take a trip to disney soon and I would like to take footage of the night time fireworks. Has anyone else taken video of fireworks with the HV20 and if so what were the optimal settings you found?

I took video of fireworks at a wedding using the fireworks preset in the camera's scenes presets (in the top row of the functions menu). It looks fantastic!
