Today's DOTD is unbeatable. You get your choice of product (not counting ETKs) a nice duffle bag, FREE SHIPPING, and a $25 Gift Certificate... all for $49.95... so you're actually only paying $24.95 for any 1 Juice product DELIVERED... with a duffle included that is probably worth $10 EASILY.

After my faux paux on the last DOTD I'm going to get a few of these (if the Juice allows, and I'm pretty darn sure it does)...

Digital Juice has HD ETKs due out by the end of this month... and this company makes products that have to be experienced to be believed... their products are EMPOWERING... so it's not like you're going to have a hard time using the gift certificates right away!

:hv20-smilie81: Dude, you're like a rollercoaster, one day you hate them, the next you love them!

I've also got a love-hate relationship with them, I hate that international shipping is so freaking expensive, but I love their products too much to care.

You're right, today's deal is pretty great, IF you live in the USA. For us international customers, the cost of shipping small batches ($42) is a bit prohibitive. Plus, I've already got 2 duffle bags from previous deals, I don't have space or use for any more!

One thing to remember is that the 'Magic' will come back again with new deals in the future, meaning that Gift Certificates will DOUBLE in value. That means your $25 gift certificate will be worth $50, making your purchase today a freebie.

Lucky sods!

I never say hate, man... I was frustrated with WIZARD'S comments to me in that forum... and I was also frustrated when it looked like they were simply going to DOUBLE the price of ETKs... both reasonable matters to be upset over I think.

Part of the accusation about me over there was that I was somehow "against" Juice just because I posted about the ETK price hike (which was quickly resended)... there's a big difference between being upset about the price of something and being upset about the product itself. Which is why I used the gas analogy over there... I regard Juice on the same level... once you experience it you HAVE to have it... so seeing my next shopping cart double in cost was akin to seeing gas double in cost... that doesn't mean I'm going to start riding a bike... but it's still frustrating at the moment you're standing there with your wallet at the pump. All I could do is close my wallet and go back home.

Up until Dave said there were HD ETKs coming out I was planning on buying at least 4 of them... look early in the other Juice thread... you asked what I wanted next and that's what I listed... then all of those things doubled in price! (again, it went back down, but I'm coming from a background of actually PAYING $150+ per volume... so until you posted "settle down" I thought that I was genuinely screwed.)

So anyway... all is good. For US guys I would try a couple Juice products... and for Spoiler... you said it yourself... if you wait it out on the gift certificates then the products are free... why not get 5 or 10 DOTD and give the duffles to goodwill? If I'm not mistaken you can "continue shopping" after each bundle is made.

For the record... and I didn't want to prolong that thread by posting a retort to Wizard... but I'm simple... I am NOT loyal to any product. We have guys at DVXuser who belittle other people who didn't get a DVX, and bought a cheaper cam... when that happened and I was privy I would speak up for that other person... then we started getting people in there with HVX and other cams that cost MORE and are better then the DVX... then guess what? More DVX owners NOW claiming that these other cams weren't better, when in fact they are... AGAIN... I spoke up on behalf of the truth. The same as I always do... so there's never any "loyalty mentality" with me that skews anything that I say... when I endorse a product it's good... and when I don't it's not... The same goes for actions... I call people out on actions. If you do something cool... I'll tell the world... and if you do something uncool... I'll tell the world.

Within the realm of friendship this doesn't apply... I don't publicly tell anybody anything about friends, but that is a business situation... and so my "truth before all else" attitude applies. I will say that I'm sorry sometimes to jump too quickly... as I clearly did on that issue... but it was still ALL rooted in truth.

I bought 4 of them. JD grungeCUTS... StackTraxx Cinematic... Swipes! Firey Thoughts and Swipes! Particle Whatevers.

I'll use the duffles for stingers... and I'll most likely give one or two of them away. There's little I enjoy more then giving things away... especially in the heat of the moment... somebody will say "hey that's a cool bag"... and I'll just say, "here, take it"... and meanwhile I have others at home, so who cares?

There have been better deals then this in the past... but not MUCH better... and this way you can try just ONE thing. Since I still want some ETK action I will apply my certificates to EITHER a blow-out on the current ETK line up... OR I'll be one of the first to get a new HD ETK release. I'm hoping they offer some crazy deal on the SD ETKs before they come out with the HD replacements... but if they don't do something big on that I'll just wait it out and get volume 1 of the HD versions. The one thing I've noticed is the first volume of EVERYTHING that they do stays in the top 5 most popular products of the line forever. The first is usually the best value... even in the long run. This way I'll be poised with my certificates for either possibility.

Can someone give a quick definition on what these guys do? Is this just music for sale?

You need to go to the site and watch a couple of the demo videos... they offer tools which greatly simplify the process of creating engaging media content. To put it simply... everything they have is EASY and BASIC in the approach, but the end result appears dramatically complex. The KEY is in tasteful execution on YOUR part... you still have to edit your video well!

They offer too much for me to start defining ever product line available... but let's say for instance the new product line called JuiceDrops... go to the site... click JuiceDrops... go to the Future Tech volume... click the GALLERY tab... there you will see pages and pages of pictures... like little thumbnails... click on one that looks interesting to you. You will see a slightly larger preview of the picture. If you buy that volume then you get all those pictures in that volume... and they are all made of up to 60+ layers! If you know photoshop then this is a great thing... it means that you can take that file and mod it so that nobody else could ever duplicate what is now YOUR art! Not even other people that own that same volume could tell... BUT you can also use it AS IS... right off the disk!

If you don't know photoshop then JuiceDrops might not be the best thing to try from their extensive product line... but there is SO much more to try that it doesn't even matter.

I just wanted to show and explain ONE thing that you can get from them... but really... you need to brew up a pot of coffee and visit the site for an hour or two... watch the demo videos that explain each product... then start browsing for what interests you.

For any video to be engaging you must have interesting visual elements, and interesting soundtrack, and edit the project to maintain viewer interest overall... Digital Juice products facilitate all of that.

Here is a FLATTENED example of just one of the JuiceDrop files (1 of 100 different "drops" from this disk!) This picture could have been easily modified in ANY way... but I left it stock just to show you what I mean.

http://a724.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/124/l_25ba951075edd04f9bddc44ffddf8a3b.jpg

This picture is resized to be very small and compressed down as a jpeg... if I hadn't done that it would be WAY bigger then your monitor (even if you have a 32" monitor)... and the file would have just been impossibly big... but as you can see it's still a neat image... minus the green box I put on it.

This picture below is what's inside of that green box at full res.

http://a481.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/65/l_67b6b6b15e32f6137034ee91c3fd81c8.jpg

Can you see how 100 pictures, composed of dozens of editable layers in each image, could give you more graphic content then you could imagine?

I have no idea how I could use this stuff but you peaked my interest so I'll visit the site. I don't need to brew a pot of coffee thou since I own a Senseo pod coffe maker. That's basically fresh great quality coffee on demand for those not familiar with pod coffee makers.

I've been asked to do a DVD of this guitar player.

Do you think Digital Juice could help me with this?

Now as a moderator I may have to remove this.

For those interested in making short films with your HV20, I'd recommend today's Digital Juice's "deal of the day" as the best I've seen yet regarding a mixture of royalty free music and sound effects.

With the 5-stacktraxx steal of the day, you get to pick and choose any 5 volumes of royalty free, layered music (20 songs per disc) for $160, you get a $25 gift certificate and you can add SoundFX (normally £250) for an extra $90.

That comes to roughly £250, about the same what I paid for the sound fx package by itself.

For cinema, can I recommend:
Stacktraxx 27: Cinematic Staxx
Stacktraxx 30: Romantic Staxx
Stacktraxx 21: Ambient Staxx
and any other 2 that tickles your fancy, as well as SoundFX I (over 12,000 sound effects!)

Just sharing the wealth...

LOL Bluegrass... yes. So tell me... that story isn't TRUE is it? You just FOUND that pic and posted it... right? Call me naive... but really... it's a joke right? It's GOT to be... you would never make these jokes if it wasn't a joke from the start... but I boomed Heidi Klum earlier this year... so it's not like I would have a hard time believing you.

Spoiler,

I bought both the Broadcast Stacks and the Epic Stack... and they are all very good. I already had the Ambient Stack and yes, it ALSO is very good. Yesterday I ordered the Cinematic... and that will arrive by the beginning of next week.

It's funny... a guy on that other board (not Juice... the other one) accused me of spamming because of my enthusiastic post... but I'm telling you that everybody who buys a Juice product is enthusiastic. I think there are several odd titles that I won't have a use for... but if you go to their site and look for what appeals to you... well... I guarantee that the item will EXCEED your expectations when it arrives.

At first I felt I had no use for the StackTraxx... but when my order arrives next week I will have 5. Last night I was up late playing around with some video and running through the Juice music that i got so far... and it's just great stuff (for the price)... occasionally you'll find a song that has a "loopy" feel... like too much repetition and it sounds like something that I'd do myself in Acid... but generally speaking I'm surprised how good the music is... and some of it has me genuinely excited because I know a few people who will be blown away by my next project, thanks to this stuff.

It's scary how much cash I spent this month on Juice... I can relate to the guy who said he couldn't decide between punching me or thanking me... because I would never have spent this money in that direction, but it will definitely come in handy on some things that I'm doing right now... and I can hardly wait to hear the client reaction.

Knowing what I know about video production... I can spot elements like this in a project, but most people don't have that experience. Regular clients will assume that you did everything yourself... and honestly, that's what Juice is all about... you are paying to own the product. That doesn't mean that you can sell portions of the product IN IT'S RAW FORM as your own... but as soon as you integrate it into a video... it's yours. When you say, "this is just a little something I threw together"... you will be telling the truth and your customer will be sitting there with their mouth hanging open.

With yesterday's sale I'll have an ETK package half paid for... so whatever happens in that area I'll be ready. If they come out with a new HD ETK and it's $199 for only one volume I'd still buy that over the 3 for deal they have on the SD ETK... but my hope is that they'll do some sort of blowout on the SD ETK... but knowing HD is coming... well... I don't know if that was a good thing for Dave to announce UNLESS he plans to blow out the old ETKs. That announcement instantly took my desire for them from a 10 down to a 5.

Of course that's the beauty in ALL of their sound products... they will NEVER be obsolete in any way... ever.

Well, it might happen some time. I'm just a hobbyist shooting a lot of video of bands and this one group that I taped contacted me to see if I would produce a DVD that they could sell. So even though I'm dreamin' a little, you never know.

I'm hopin' someone like her walks up knocks on my tent at festival some evening and says "I hear you do a lot of video taping. Would you care to come over to my campsite and tape me jammin' later tonight?" " I answer -Ya. I might be persuaded. Maybe I better follow you over to your campsite so I know how where it is." "Do you just play the guitar, or do you play other instruments?"

I better get back to work.

Today would be another good day to buy some Juice. The current DOTD is a duffel (yeah I know... I KNOW... I don't care about the freakin' duffels EITHER!!!)... but anyway... the supposition is that you're buying a $24.95 duffel and getting a gift certificate for $25 for free... so essentially you're paying shipping on the free duffel and buying a $25 gift certificate... but here's the kicker... THEY ALREADY SAID THAT MAGIC DOUBLING TIME IS COMING BACK IN AUGUST... so that means the $25 will be worth $50... and the thing to do in this DOTD is pick out an Editor's Tool Kit (1-9) for only $49 each... (per $25 gift certificate deal)... that means that each GC and each ETK is $73.95... which is really cheap for what you're getting... and since we already KNOW the GCs will double in value... you're getting the ETK for $23.95 each.

I got the ETK 1 and 2... and I guess that will be all the ETKs I get. This deal ends at midnight tonight.

'Nuff said.

Okay... this is the last time I'm going to post about Juice Deals... but I guess TODAY is the best day to buy yet. That is as long as you can use the GCs at some time in the future (which they already say will be worth double at some time later THIS month)... anyway... these "deals" are wearing me out. Seriously this is the last time I'm mentioning it here... after this you're on your own.

I kind of went nuts with all this Digital Juice stuff since my previous experience was in the old price structure... all the "deals" seemed unbelievable to me... and I was mad that I seemingly missed the deals... but Spoiler was obviously right... the "deals" will most likely be popping up all the time... so I feel stupid for my over the top enthusiasm earlier in this thread... but anyway... if you count the $25 GC as $25 off then you can pick from a bunch of DJ products for a net cost of under $18 per each... which is pretty hard to beat and the best deal I've seen yet.

One thing that does irk me about the site though... is that they want this excitement... the mania... surrounding the situation. The company CEO said that ETKs wouldn't be available beyond July 31st... and yet, there they are available again today. Frankly... at this point... it wouldn't surprise me to see some blow-out deal on the ETKs even still... I'm talking like $25 each kind of blowout... but the way that site works is within this uncertain frenzy... yes, it can be annoying if you get hooked... but no matter how you look at it I paid $150 each for stuff that they sell for 1/8 of that price some days now... so you gotta' look at it like that... if you buy something and it's cheaper the next day then you feel hosed, but if you buy something and it's more the next day you feel lucky... the only smart thing to do is buy it if you like what you see... and try your best to get a good deal. I think initially I'm a perfect example of how NOT to handle it though... don't get too excited about the deals and don't get too worried when you miss them.

"and that's all I have to say about that".

Dodgy Nick
2007 August 1st, 10:50
Matt, I wouldn't get TOO excited about the gift certificates (GCs) either. They're just a clever ploy to lock you into buying more product in future, they're not a discount on the current purchase. Make no mistake, DH is no fool, he knows exactly what he's doing, and I applaud him for his ingenuity. People hold on to the GCs until the "magic" comes back, (which means the value of GCs double for the uninitiated). The magic comes back at a very calculated time, and the price of product takes the magic effect into account, and everybody tries to spend their GCs during this period buying product they might not have otherwise. Don't be fooled and whipped up into a frenzy for no reason. There were MUCH greater deals in the past (buy 10 get 10 free for £250), and those were the times to buy. I wouldn't say today is a "must buy" situation by a long stretch.

Just my 2p. Sorry to disagree again.

IMHO The best time to buy is a) when new product is released, or b) when product comes to the end of it's shelf life. Obviously option (a) is the preferred choice!

The deal today for $59.90 with a Free $25 gift certificate is a pretty awesome deal. You get each item for about $18 when it's all said and done. I'm getting ready to put my order together here shortly.

*Update*
So I went ahead and picked up the following:

Cinematic, Ambient, Corporate 2, & Island Stacks, JumpBacks HD: Maximum Impact, & Swipes: Broadcast Edge. Paid right around $200 shipped (which will arrive tomorrow since they are a city away from me wooohooo) and received $75 worth of gift cards that'll be worth $150 later this month when the magic comes back. That is quite a deal they have going today!

Spoiler... yes I read your post over there. Now you know how I felt earlier this month. DH has a funny way of doing business... yes it is exciting... but it's also a little "Monty Hall". You feel a little manipulated in the end... but at this point my feet are on the ground and I'm cool with the sales model.

I already had 4 certificates waiting as of today... so I got 8 things for $148 shipped... and in that box there's another $100 for something at a later date... so $48 net for today (if you use the goofy math that I just laid out)... and yes, the $100 is real because you have to spend it with them, but still I think that's okay. The next purchase I make there will be mostly with my certificates... and on top of that it will probably be close to the last purchase I make with them until something significant happens there (talking even BEYOND the upcoming HD ETK situation)... I expect to use my $150 in GCs during magic time at the new release of the replacement ETKs... after that there may be 1 or 2 StackTraxx that I still want... but I'm almost done.

Ten Ounce...Those are nice selections! I got corporate II, sports, spooky (this one is limited use, but I got it for ONE particular song that I'm going to use for a show intro), and dynamic intensity (again, limited use on this one, but I like the semi-cheesy 80's sound of it)... I already have ambient, epic, and both broadcast 1 and 2... you will be very happy with what you ordered today! I am thrilled with the quality of the StackTraxx... in the past I felt skilled to do my own soundtracks, but it's a LOT of work during an edit... and for most of the stuff I do the StackTraxx is the easy (and more then good enough) answer.

I also got Drops clean 2, paper cuts, pop life, and fresh form... Previously I got future tech and grunge cuts... and I'm really happy with those volumes. The Juice Drops are a real bargain if you can make use of them... you can alter them in any way and claim the illustration as your own... I wouldn't ever specifically SAY that, but if you do a composition using the drops you are free to sell that composition as your own graphical output. That's the whole point in them. So if somebody wants you to do a business card for example... you can lay it out on a clean cuts 2 and they'll be thrilled... and it will have taken you all of 1 minute. I think the Drops are one of the best values on that site.

Since I just ordered ETK 1 and 2 yesterday I'm done for a while now... my next purchase will have to be almost entirely paid for by the certificates that I have coming... which is actually $150 worth before magic! Neither order is expected to arrive before Monday or Tuesday of next week for me though... so it will be a bummer if some great magic inclusive deal hits before then... but honestly... I'm getting about there on juice anyway.

In the past month I did buy a couple things off ebay (including a lot auction that has at least one thing I want to get rid of... frames MDE)... but mostly I've got stuff off the DOTD deals. In the past month I added 19 things to my previous 4... yikes. That doesn't even include the 10 that I have coming. So yeah... I'm about done!

The way I rationalized this is I do a lot of really boring corporate video... and my next video is gonna' be a word of mouth fire-ball... the guy that I do most of my work for gets me some spotty business here and there... but several of the people that HE works for are basing their desire for a video on what they've seen so far... and most of them just want a video to use at a trade show or something like that... so I'm thinking that my new juice will probably pay for itself within the next couple of months at the longest, because juice is perfect for a video that needs to catch somebody's eye for only a few minutes... especially if the real content is boring.

So while I kind of went nuts on this stuff this month (Spoiler was right... it has been a rollercoaster)... I think in the end this will have been a good move for me. I have so much gear that is hard to justify... I can't even tell if this stuff is paying for itself... but I think it will be easy to gauge what juice is really worth after my next couple of videos.

That's a great list. What's funny is you're just like me... I think I'll have more StackTraxx then anything else. At first I wasn't that impressed with those, but there are some incredible volumes in there... some of them sound like completely real, composed music.

We have most of the same volumes between us.

It's funny, but today's deal is actually the best deal of the week... it's not blowing away the previous deal, but it is good. If you already had certificates then it's about the best I've seen. I popped my $100 in certificates on Tuesday... with no "magic"... I got 8 mix + 2 ETK for $300 after my $100, but I have $150 more in certs on the way.

If I'd have waited until today I'd have got 10 mix + 2 ETK for $150 after my $100(magic x2 = $200)... and then had no certs left... so I "lost out" on two volumes, but really this is all so relative that who cares? The first job you do with these will pay for 10 of them on it's own. I said it before, but I can't wait for my next corporate gig... they'll freak out. I know my customers and I'm telling you that they will freak out.

I've only got about 4 or so more Stacks that I want... maybe one swipe... one or two JumpBacks... and I may get ETK 10 if they put it up at $49.

Now they've got the HD replacement ETKs due out any day now... and it's hard to say if they'll do the magic again this month... but my hope is a deal like today with the new ETKs... and magic... then I'll have a free $300 to toss at it... and I'm hoping for it to work out that I can just use my certs and be done... I do NOT need this much of this stuff... so I'm about good anyway.

The music is one thing that I think is unlimited though... so whatever happens I'll always be willing to "cash out" on my certs with those volumes.

Naturally today I'm wishing that I had my last order and that $150 in certs sitting here... I could have jumped on board with 5 certs and only paid shipping... but I'm pretty sure at least some of the new ETKs will have a high desirability ratio... and then I'd be sad if I'd have dumped all my certs early.

But anyway... I think at this point you get to be the new president of the club on these boards... it's either you or Spoiler.

Haha. I've only done 3 orders with them but so far I've been pleased with the amount of stuff I've gotten my hands on. I haven't used any of the ETKs yet, but I can see they can be quite useful in the right situation. Hopefully I'll have some of my advertisements and customer testimonials done soon with the help of DJ products.

As for the gift certificates, I had $100 worth, so my purchase today only set me back $200, and I got a tooon of stuff. With me being here in Orlando and them about 30 minutes away, it works really well when they have specials with gift certificates included, since the orders usually show up at my house before they update the website with the new deals in the morning.

For a total of 85 juice products! Yep, guess I'm addicted. Better start using them all now. Just wish I could use it to make money somehow... (I've spent well over $2500 on all this stuff in a very short period of time!)

Wow, and I thought I was a juice addict! I would definitely go out there and try to make some money to compensate those costs. I'm doing some basic video work here in Orlando for some smaller companies looking to create some basic ads. You won't get rich off it but it'll pay for your software/equipment over time.

Are you using your HV20? What kind of video work/ads? How do you find the work? What's your rate?

I have no idea how to get started on this, but would love to do this over weekends if possible.

I'm using my HV20 for it. I actually purchased it to do testimonials from my business customers to post on my website and distribute with ads through the mail. I'm also going to do a QVC style web show real soon showcasing some different things (like the HV20) that I can get at really competitive prices.

As for finding work, because I have a base of business customers that I deal with weekly, all I do is make suggestions about how cool it would be if they made their own advertisement and posted it on youtube or whatever. When they say they can't afford it or don't know anyone to do it, that's when I step up! :hv20-smilie03: As for rates, it really depends on the company and what they want to do. For one particular customer that I'm getting ready to shoot for, I'm basically bartering services. I do a tutorial video for them, they give me free advertising and all of their future technology purchases. It's a good trade off as I get to promote my business and practice doing different projects at little to no cost. It truely is a side business of mine, but I'm hoping that in the future I can hire someone to do those types of projects along with web development and print jobs.

Aww *snap*.

Today was definitely a good day to buy if you have certificates laying around. I don't really feel bad for buying last Monday and Tuesday though... on both days my purchase each included certificates... and I already used certificates that I HAD... so it was like a neutral move... really it's just a question of when I want to cash out on Juice... because at whatever point I surrender the last bit of certificates... that will be the point when I take a Hiatus from the Juice site.

It's simply too addictive for me!

Again... had I waited until today... I could have got the 8 things I just bought, plus the 2 ETKs (plus 2 "extra" mix to equal 10)... for $150 after surrendering my $100 in certs.

For the 8 things that I bought plus the 2 ETKs... and surrendering my certs I paid $300, but I'm getting $150 in certs back... so it's a net of $150 for 8 mix and 2 ETK... If it was today it would have been 10 mix and 2 ETK for $150... so see... it's almost a wash either way... by two volumes anyway.

BUT... now I'm committed to $150 MORE in stuff! Aaaaarrrrgggh... yes they've HOOKED me... Spoiler you have been right on so many levels. I wish that I'd have talked to you first before losing it a month ago!

What really kills is my certs (and my order) are sitting AT FEDEX right up the street and they won't let me get it! Aww man... what do you think are the odds there will be another deal this good this month... that also has "magic" factored in? Hmm? Spoiler?

My plan was to hit a deal like this at the release of the new ETK volumes... which I hope are good... but I can still use at least 4 Stacks... a Drop or two... and a Swipe or MDE... Hmm. I'm sick man... I'm sick.

I was listening to one of the regular CDs all day driving today... just to get ideas and inspiration... and man, I'm telling you this stuff is good. I was listening to the Epic volume as I drove around and it was giving me goosebumps just passing semis.

If I could get my order from Fedex I'd have no problem ordering 10 more things today... 4 of them would be Stacks... 2 would be Drops... and the last 4 could be almost anything grabbed at random :-)

The magic will most certainly be back this month with the launch of new products. DH has said that he gets very nervous when he releases new product, because if it doesn't sell well in the beginning, it can take a very long time to get a return on investment. Therefore he pulls out all the stops to get people to buy them, get the price right, throw in some more product at ridiculously discounted prices or free, and bring in some magic to sweeten the deal. That's why he gave 10 free mix'n'match products away when he released the newest 10 MDE's, it wouldn't have sold so well without that deal.

A mistake that many 'juicers' make is to count the value of their GC's twice. Don't think something is a good deal because you get X amount in GC's so you subract that from the price, and then you think the next deal is a good deal because you get X amount discount because of your GC's. Only count them once!!

There will be HD ETK's this month. The magic will be back. There might be some new JBHD's at some point, they've been too quiet for too long. When I buy mix'n'match deals I buy very strategically. When a new batch of products come out, you get a great deal on ANY of the product in that line. Therefore I've bought very few JBHD's this time around, so that when they release 10 or so, I might only want 5 of the new ones, but there are another 5 older ones I really want, so the deal works out for me. I did the same with the new Stacktraxx volumes, I held out on a few so when the new ones came out, I could complete my collection with just the right amount of music I wanted.

I fear this addiction isn't easy to break, they will always come out with new dazzling product that you will feel you just 'need'. Besides, who can't use more music? I'm really looking forward to their pre-keyed stock footage that's in the works. It's similar to this: http://www.post-holes.com/tips_and_techniques.aspx

Yeah dude... that keyed footage is awesome... and hey, thanks for setting me straight on things over there. The whole marketing plan is one of frenzy, like an auction.

My whole plan has been to hold out for the next gen ETKs... but if I'd have had my certs then I'd have spent them today anyway. They've been sitting in a FedEx truck a few miles from my house and FedEx says I still have to wait until Monday.

I realize you should only count the certs once, but really if you do try to buy intelligently over there... as you're instructing... then ETKs aside... everything else should be averaging a cost of $15 or so... which seems really really cheap for what you're getting.

If I'd have used my certificates today then they would have been worth double on what was already a pretty good deal. No certs means today's deal was $25 each... $125 worth of certs would have bought 10... so that's $12.50 each... and yes, of course I did pay $25 for the certs last time around... but even at that the 2 other items equal either $17.50 each... and while I gave them $25 for a $25 cert... on days like today they're giving me BACK $50 per $25... so all I'm saying is that anytime they're offering something for $25 each... and they double your cert value... they are effectively cutting the cost of each item down to $12.50, because 1 $25 cert buys two $25 items.

Of course you will NEVER get certs included when the cost averages that low anyway... but last Tuesday it was 2 items (and a cert) for $59... so subtract 25 and you get $35... or $17.50 each... then on top of it they're going to double the certs at some point... so when they have a sale for $25... and give you double... $17.50 + $12.50 = $30/2 = $15.

A lot of BS, yes... but does it ever get any better then that? Even at THAT rate I'm amazed that everybody and their brother isn't using this stuff.

Right now it's averaging a TENTH of what I paid 4 years ago (if you buy strategically as you are saying).

The smartest thing for somebody to do would be to buy $200 worth of certs and nothing else... then just wait. Think about it. I'm not doing that... but I'm just sayin'... if somebody didn't really care all that much then they really would be paying $12.50 per product.

I think I'd be mainly interested in the StackTraxx.
So it's 10 for $249? Is that as good as it gets?

Mal
2007 August 3rd, 22:42
Okay, are there ever any deal of the day that INCLUDE the BackTraxx volumes?

10 for $249 mix&match that includes BackTraxx, Jump Backs HD, and StackTraxx would see me pull out my CC too....

ToTo
2007 August 3rd, 23:19
I think it DOES get better then 10 for $249. Although not MUCH better... for some of my purchases that's what I paid... but some others have been down near $17.50 each. I'm sorry for being long winded in this thread, but the gist is that you should be able to hit an average of $15-17.50 each instead of $25 each.

At one time they had a 10 for $249 and then you could get a BackTraxx for $69... or maybe it was $99.

It's funny... I thought the StackTraxx would be a joke... I checked out just a couple of them on the site and immediately wrote them off... then a while later I went back and checked out some more that caught my attention... so I gave them a try... When they arrived I was totally blown away. Those things are great. Personally I can't see just getting all of them... but here's my list... that I can confidently suggest:

Broadcast 1 and 2
Epic
Cinematic
Sports
Ambient
Corporate 2
Positive Aspirations

Okay... then I also got Dynamic Intensity and Spooky... but I got both of those SPECIFICALLY because I think they're cheesy! The Dynamic one is arguably good... but I didn't get it for that... and the Spooky one I got for the pure cheddar.

But I can tell you that the other ones I listed will blow your mind. Seriously. Remember all the M-Audio disks? They're good like that... but they're complete songs that are 3:30... 1:00... :30... :15... :10... and on top of it you can turn off odd sounds that you might not like... in about 6 stacks... hence the name... Like in some SmartSound music there may be a guitar wah-wah which completely annoys me... but in the Stacks you can turn it off if you want.

All I'm saying is of the Stacks I listed I'd be amazed if you try them... and you aren't very, very happy.

Just so you know the mix deals ALMOST ALWAYS include the HD JumpBacks.

Hey Mal, the mix'n'match deals only include the 'smaller' products, the 'big' products like SoundFX, VideoTraxx and Backtraxx cost a little more, but sometimes they do have those as an add-on deal for a fixed amount extra, as Matt rightly pointed out.

Having said that, I own BackTraxx I, and the music and sounds on it is dated and not great quality. I would stick with StackTraxx if I were you. Listen to the BackTraxx music on their site or through it on the free juicer software and if you can see yourself using 10% or more of the music on there, then go for it.

I only got the BackTraxx because I got it cheaply through a deal (added on for $69), and I could use a very small amount of the tracks, mainly wedding stuff.

For anybody wanting to get into Digital Juice, I'd say today is one of those special deals which won't be repeated for quite a while. (and I've been checking this website daily since December last year).

I just bought 8 mix'n'match products for $198
An editors toolkit for $49
Backtraxx II for $49
Videotraxx II for $49
and got a free Stacktraxx thrown in.

With shipping included, it came to roughly £205 ($410)
I didn't even use my gift certificate (which doubles in value today) because I wanted to be one of the first 100 customers who gets the new stacktraxx for free. I'm sure there will be plenty of "magic" opportunities to spend it this year.

This is an AWESOME deal. For those who wants Sound FX, you can throw that in for $49 extra, and trust me, the sound fx volumes are great. SoundFX I has over 12000 high quality sounds, and Sound FX II has over 15000.

This company has me totally hooked!!

I second that statement. Today's deal is definitely great if you're looking to pick up one of their more expensive products.

For me, I really want to get the new Latin Stacks volume, as well as the Video Stacks, but I already spent a couple hundred bucks this week and am not too keen on doing 2 big orders like that in one week...........Ahhh, what am I saying, time to break out the credit card! :hv20-smilie71: <---Juice Addict

Man... I bought TWO DOTD this week already! I LITERALLY bought a few things that I didn't really care for... just to complete the two deals. I had CERTS for BOTH of them! I still have certs left, but only $50 worth! So yeah, today probably would have been a good day to buy, but I just can't justify it either.

If I'd have held onto my certs until today I'd have got the stuff I wanted from my last 2 orders... NOT got the stuff that I didn't really care about... got some OTHER stuff that I do still want... and been able to add an ETK 10 and SFX II to the order... all with ONLY paying shipping!

I hate that feeling... but yeah, I just can't crack the wallet on juice anymore this month... just... can't... do it.

I'm sure there will be more good deals coming... especially on the ETKs... I predict that $49 each with magic will happen again this month on those... the thing that's really bugging me is the SFX II for $49 with magic... I NEVER thought that would happen.

But I think this is the deal... we will see the new ETKs... new MDE "pro"... SFX III... and probably some other stuff within 3 WEEKS. All that stuff is NEW PRODUCT that has a high initial cost for inventory... those guys NEED to get everybody's certs away from them before they release this new product so that they can guarantee that purchases will be REAL dollars coming in to cover the new product investment. Certificate codes do not pay this NEXT month's bills... CASH does... so I think that we'll still see some more deals... especially on the SD ETKs... but this current deal might be the last ditch effort to do just what I said... because honestly, if I still had those certs I'd have spent ALL of them today instead of just some of them over the past week.

They got me on the Swipes and the MDEs this past week... and that brought my certs down to $50... which means I'd have to go at least $150 out of pocket for the current deal plus SFX II... and yeah... I just can't afford it on the tails of an INSANE juice month.

Today I purchased the DOTD, 8 packs for $198. Thats 133 Euro, next to the FedEx International priority shipping brings it up to 175 Euro.

Motion Design Elements Vol 10 - Control Panels
Swipes Volume 06 - Tunnel Vision
Swipes Volume 10 - Mixed Bag

Welcome to the addiction Kazuka! You did great in your choices. You got the best StackTraxx (cinematic), the best HD Jumpback (Ethereal), and the best Swipe (Mixed Bag) in my opinion. Pity you didn't take the opportunity to get SoundFX I or II for $50 extra at those great prices.

So if you're in the Netherlands you get it straight from Digital Juice in Florida? You lucky bugger! In the UK we get it from the reseller, Holdan, and they take about 2-3 weeks to deliver our stuff for some reason.

I'd love to see what you do with your juice, do share links to your stuff either on here or on youtube once you've done something if you don't mind!
