I checked out M-Audio's new Microtrack 24/96. Do a google to get to it. It's about the size of an ipod and records pro audio. The go for about 300 bucks on ebay. Anyone think this could work as a recorder for sounds. I know it will work for boom but even the little mic they supply could possibly work. I'm thinking if you're doing a table scene just hide the thing behind a vase or frame it out of the shot and you're good to go.
