windows movied maker

I imported a tape into movie maker in Vista. When I play the movie in the editor it lags real bad. If I open the file I created with media player it runs with no problems.

Before someone suggest it is my PC
e6600 over clocked to 3.4X2 cores
4 GB 800 MHZ RAM
2X500gb SATA2 HD in RAID 0
512mb 7950 GT video card

I even checked my processor usage and it was no where near peaked.

You seem to have a kick-ass PC. Get a decent NLE like Premiere or Vegas.
