We're a small group of people working on a zero-budget production, aiming to make a blockbuster-quality feature film, shot with an HV20. Are we completely insane? Maybe, you can judge for yourself by checking out our weekly 'making of' clips that start today. We're about to wrap up pre-production and we'll start shooting soon.
We're still waiting on our HV20 to arrive, starting from next week's clip you'll probably see our setup with it etc. For now, enjoy this little inside look in our impressive professional studios.

(note: the 'making of' stuff is shot with the Sony PDX10P)
Added to my bookmarks, will be following the project :)
Also the Tania in the movie is that the Tania from NEE? If that's the case then I saw her on national news a few weeks ago :hv20-smilie84:

i think the project has a chance to make it if you stay away from the porn crap. that already been done.
the reason i think you might have half a chance of doin' ok, is you guys are having fun and are slightly funny.
work on the scripting and storyboarding. the walls of your studio might be good for that.
it's obvious, you're making a movie of making a movie.
have you made a list of theaters that are equiped to show your movie?
contact them and tell them they might want to hook their projector onto the internet and display your movie for free. the patrons just have to buy some popcorn and pop.

All scripting and storyboarding is done. And we'll be focussing on a big online release, theaters will be welcome to show our movie if they want to.
I know it sounds like we're having delusions of grandeur, maybe that's also actually the case, or maybe not :) .

I have to say that statment is true if your not willing to last out the whole production.
A friend of mine is about to have the premiere for his film shot on a dvcam and took him about 5 years to get there. So dont give up, its worth it. It payed of for him and now has great contacts in the industry that helped him out in the post production part.
I have worked on independent films that didn't make it all the way and the only reason because the director and the producers gave up on the project on one of them the whole thing was shot and even reshoots where done.. but then just gave up with it. So just gota stick it out.
I can't wait to see how you guys go with the HV20.

The concept was interesting until it became about porn. You will lose one hell of an audience going that route. The fact that you have an open casting call for a sex-partner leads me to a road I won't be traveling. I'm not sure your credibility was lost (your first video's title) in that video at all. What killed it was a lead actress who has a website devoted to giving 40,000 blowjobs. What market are you aiming for here? You aren't going to find much of anything in the way of money from sponsors when you've got such potentially offensive material on the site. As for screening houses, unless we are talking about the little tiny ones with all the flashy lights...I don't see how this can really take off in the same sense of phrases you used like Web 2.0. These subjects just don't compare.

Destricted had an open casting for one segment, I think.

That part of Destricted is an open casting call that they record.
I doubt the 40,000 blow jobs thing and the subject matter of IP probably won't do them that much harm.
I think Shortbus is doing OK over here in the UK, I don't know about the rest of Europe. This kind of thing is getting more accepted.
And lets face it if they can't find an audience with a free movie on the internet it won't be because of pornography.

Well, I can't give anything away yet but let's just say that the 'porn' part won't be a problem for anyone :) .

I saw the "sex partner" request as more tongue-in-cheek than serious. Especially after the 40,000 blowjobs bit. That is pretty funny.
Sure, it's in-your-face and will offend some folks, but it's a far cry from porn.
Just my perception. I know as much about this as the rest of the people here.
Good luck!

From the responses to this thread you can definitely tell this forum isn't overrun with immature teenagers. :)

Yeah, for a moment I thought it would turn into a debate about whether porn should be called a form of "art."

If itīs art, itīs an erotic film, not pr0n. ;)
