Cannot capture from HV20

Hello,

I have bought HV20 today and I have trouble capturing video from the camera. I tried AVI_IO, WinDV, VirtualDub - all give out error message about not being able to connect to capture driver or find capture pin.
By chance I fired up VLC (VideoLAN client) and found, that it is able to open the capture device and play the video just fine (and even control it remotely). So this rules bad cabling, incorrect low-level driver and a mistake in my camcorder's settings.
Can anyone hint me what's wrong? I believe it must be something trivial -- I am just unable to find what it is.

That's great! Tools that you used are for DV capture, not HDV.
