I am considering buying a Canon HV30 for a film class I will be teaching next year. I will be using either iMacs or iBooks with about 2GB memory, and either a 160 or 320GB hard drive. So since I am committed to using Macs, I want to make sure that the camera I buy works smoothly with its editing software. My question then: How easy will it be to use either iMovie HD 6 or Final Cut Express with this camera for editing? Are there any special procedures I need to know about in order to upload my HD files from the camera to my iMac? Or is it a straightforward process that my students will be able to handle easily:hv20-smilie03:?
Thanks for any feedback.

no, i use an imac. Both imovie and FCE work fine with the HV20/30. just make sure you have a firewire cable.....but you probably already knew that.
