I would like to use my Panasonic headphone for my HV20 camera. It has a jack connector so normally I should use a jack to mini jack converter like this:

However, the converter doesn't fit? The weird thing is that a small headphone (with mini jack connector) perfectly fits :hv20-smilie50:

How can I connect a jack connector to the headphone hole? :)

That picture looks like a mono adapter; you'll probably need the stereo version with two black bands at the tip ...

because of the weight of the combination jack + jack-minijack, this isn't the best idea. you beter fit a minijack to the end of your headphone cable and use a converter if you need a regular jack.

if the converter you mentioned is the same as in the picture you posted, then you have the wrong one. the one in the picture is a mono one.

apart from that, if the converter is realy a minijack, it should normaly work so i'm thinking you have a wrong one.

Well, mine is a stereo (with two black bands). You're right about the weight.

Maybe it's the best to put the converter on the jack and get a extension cable like this:

I'm going to try this first. Thanks for the help!
