Capture problems...

Both FCE and Imovie are not recognizing my HV20 when I try to capture/download my footage to these programs.

Any suggestions? Do you have to use an HDV to USB connector/wire? I am trying to use the firewire to USB connector with no luck. This wire came in the box with the camera although. I recorded the footage in HDV 1080i/24P mode. Am I doing something wrong here?? Please help somebody...

I am trying to use the firewire to USB connector won't work. You have to use the firewire from HV20 to firewire IN on your computer. The USB cable, supplied with the camera, is and only used to transfer still images only. You'll have to purchase a firewire cable seperately unless you have one on hand.
