Shot some test footage earlier and finally got around to plugging it into the TV set to review. I had not touched any of the sound options so imagine my surprise when I heard the hissing sounds my recordings were making.
Went back to the book and menu, lowered the recording volume so the maximum would not even hit 12, ever (manual recommends sometimes), and away I went and re-recorded. I plugged in my MP3 player's earplugs and listened. Much, much better.
This does raise a question. When I import these files in Vegas or Ulead, will the same impact be made on the net output with the on board adjustments I made, or is this on board mic so sensitive that only an add-on will correct this ? :hv20-smilie50:
