Playing with this, sure hope this one d/l's okay, well the link didn't work, back to the drawing board. I'll work at it again, hopefully I can get it up soon.

Here's the 18MB file of me landing in the roses, then another short test flight like it should have happened

Here's a 25MB file of a slightly longer test flight with no WA

And:

The ring is the vignetting caused by my use of my old Sony Hi-8's WA (x0.6) 37mm with step down ring from 43mm. It also has a bad wide scratch, lower centre, that looks like a blurry smudge, as I buffed out the worst of it. Fell into some rocks with my Hi-8 awhile ago, drove it into the barnacles!

And finally the wind noise is always prevalent, so I tried a velcro patch over the mics but now when I turn my head it whistles, so I'll tear it off and try double sided tape and foam.

That was awesome! I love flying and hardly ever do it.

Cool that you left the crash-landing in, too.

Very nice footage. Good exposure. What was black circle? Was it a lens adapter or part of the helmet cam (or whatever rig you had)?
Sound was I guess what you'd expect - lots of distorted wind. When you weren't flying, the talking wasn't too bad, though.

Thanks for sharing!

Yes, it was fun, but figuring out this render stuff in Vegas requires a lot of experimentation. I haven't a clue as to why it went from 18MB to 72MB, I obviously did something...I suspect I went back to 1440 x 1060i in the preferences from 320 x 240, so I'll go back up and edit the 18mb file in (done).....grrr....

Just as I was coming back to here I got confirmation my WA H-43 is on the way, probably have it Monday...yay!!

looked like a lot of fun, making me want to paraglide, looks like you can get some good shots by doing it.

Great shooting! It's nice to see something I will hardly try in my life...:hv20-smilie77:

Good luck!

Just damaged my poor fragile male ego.

Went for a mountain bike test run with helmet cam yesterday. I went to the bluffs above the house thinking I would combine it with a little piece on where I live. Left the 20 on "play" all night, dead as a door nail, still have only one battery. Now that the 43 is on it's way, guess batteries will be the next investment.
