Hello, im wanting to attatch my HV20 to a microscope eyepiece and i need to physicaly get the lens closer to the eyepiece than the case will allow.

Does anyone know how the front ring filter thread / auto lens cover section is fastened on . im pretty handy but dont want to snap any lugs / clips .

Using a ultrawide eyepiece i recon i could get a un-vignetted image with no zoom , just need a few less mm.

I bought a camadapter eyepiece ($249) with 43mm ring. It actually puts more light into the lens than standard eyepieces. Vignetting is a problem, but in HD you can't use all the width in any case. I use the sweet spot in zoom range where the top-bottom view is cut to about 75% and the full width of the circular lens aperture is visible.

Low light performance at 24p with a 1/6 shutter is UNBELIEVABLE, by far exceeding the low light performance of microscope cameras costing over $10,000...
